คณะกรรมการบริหารของสมาคมอนุรักษ์นกและธรรมชาติประเทศไทย ชุดปัจจุบันของสมาคมฯ จะหมดวาระลงภายในสิ้นปี 2561 ทางสมาคมฯ ขอเชิญชวนผู้ที่สนใจ เข้าร่วมสมัครคณะกรรมการ ชุดประจำปี 2562-2563 เพื่อขับเคลื่อนการทำงานของสมาคมฯ สร้างผลงานในด้านการอนุรักษ์ ให้ยิ่งขึ้นไปตามวิสัยทัศน์ของสมาคมฯ

คณะกรรมการบริหารทำหน้าที่บริหารกิจการของสมาคม โดยให้ที่ประชุมใหญ่เลือกนายกสมาคม 1 คน และเลือกกรรมการอื่นอีก 6 คนจากสมาชิกสามัญ ส่วนคณะกรรมการที่เหลือให้คณะกรรมการที่ได้รับการเลือกตั้งเป็นผู้แต่งตั้งจากสมาชิกสามัญ ซึ่งตามตำแหน่งกรรมการของสมาคมมีตำแหน่งและหน้าที่โดยสังเขป ดังต่อไปนี้
1. นายกสมาคม ทำหน้าที่เป็นหัวหน้าในการบริหารกิจการของสมาคม
2. อุปนายก ทำหน้าที่เป็นผู้ช่วยนายกสมาคม ในการบริหารกิจการสมาคม
3. เลขานุการ ทำหน้าที่เกี่ยวกับงานธุรการของสมาคมทั้งหมด
4. เหรัญญิก มีหน้าที่เกี่ยวกับการเงินทั้งหมดของสมาคม เป็นผู้จัดทำบัญชีรายรับ-รายจ่าย บัญชีงบดุลของสมาคม
5. ปฏิคม มีหน้าที่ในการต้อนรับแขกของสมาคม เป็นหัวหน้าในการจัดเตรียมสถานที่ของสมาคม และจัดเตรียมสถานที่ประชุมต่างๆ ของสมาคม
6. นายทะเบียน มีหน้าที่เกี่ยวกับทะเบียนสมาชิกทั้งหมดของสมาคม ประสานงานกับเหรัญญิกในการเรียกเก็บเงินค่าบำรุงสมาคมจากสมาชิก
7. ประชาสัมพันธ์ มีหน้าที่เผยแพร่กิจการและชื่อเสียงเกียรติคุณของสมาคมให้สมาชิกและบุคคลทั่วไปรู้จักแพร่หลาย
8 กรรมการตำแหน่งอื่นๆ ตามความเหมาะสม ซึ่งคณะกรรมการเห็นสมควรกำหนดให้มีขึ้นโดยมีจำนวนเมื่อรวมกับตำแหน่งกรรมการตามข้างต้นแล้วจะต้องไม่เกินจำนวนที่ข้อบังคับกำหนดเอาไว้ แต่ถ้ากรรมการมิได้กำหนดตำแหน่งก็ถือว่าเป็นกรรมการกลาง

17th Thailand Bird Fair “Race Against Extinction”

23-25 November 2018 @Laem Phak Bia Environment Research Development Project (LERD)
Ban Laem District, Phetchaburi

The annual Thailand Bird Fair has been held by BCST since 2001. It is the event where conservation NGOs, clubs, governmental and private organisations get together to share and present their works regarding birds and nature conservation. Both local and international partners have attended the bird fair every year with the aims to promote their works and birdwatching in their regions.

Activities at the bird fair include various booths from local and international organisations, “bird walks” and “Night Watch” led by experienced bird leaders, talks on research and bird conservation, as well as entertainment activities such as “Bird Race”, quiz game, and drawing contest. There will also be shops that sell food, drinks and local products from Phetchaburi within the fair.

For 2018, the theme for the annual Thailand Bird Fair is “Race Against Extinction” to help address the urgent needs to conserve globally threatened species, particularly the ones that are found in Thailand such as the Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Spotted Greenshank, Great Knot, Yellow-breasted Bunting and Helmeted Hornbill. The event will be jointly held with the annual Laem Phak Bia Festival at the Laem Phak Bia Environment Research Development Project (LERD) in Ban Laem District, Phetchaburi.
